From informal advocacy to a registered peacebuilding organization
Discharge and disqualification
Following the Comprehensive Peace Agreement, thousands of young combatants verified as minors or late recruits were discharged from cantonments and left to rebuild their lives with little support.
A network becomes an organization
After years of informal advocacy under the Discharged PLA Nepal Struggle Committee, the group formally established itself as Discharged Ex-Combatants Nepal.
Registered as Peace Envisioners Nepal
The network re-registered under a new name and a broader mandate: peacebuilding, restorative justice and social-economic justice for conflict-affected youth nationwide.
Working across Nepal
We coordinate with government bodies and national and international partners to run trainings, dialogue and rehabilitation programs for conflict-affected youth and women.
News & stories from the field
Peace is built together.
Whether through a donation, a partnership, or your time, every contribution helps a conflict-affected young person in Nepal find a path forward.
